Meeting Point : 10am Rudyard Lake railway centre carpark .   ST13 8PF. Free parking .  Toilets at the railway are currently closed but  there are some available a short drive away  at Hotel Rudyard or by the Lake visitor centre. 

Route: Gun Hill and Rudyard Lake . 10.5 miles. Fields and open  moorland up to Gun  Hill  385m  (1200ft  ) ascent with views of The Roaches escarpment to the east. Descend  to Rushton  Spencer and then last 3 miles along the Lake . 

Moderate grade walk but there are a high number of stiles ( approx 14) in first 2 miles of the walk 

Packed lunch required. Refreshments at end at the Visitor centre en route back to car park
