Macclesfield u3a Croquet Group welcomed Congleton u3a on Thursday 27 July for an afternoon of croquet held at Macclesfield Cricket Club. The weather was kind and the refreshments brought by players much enjoyed at the break. Some 27 players played two separate games each of 80 minutes. Seven lawns were used to provide both suitably challenging lawns for those that wanted a competitive game and more supportive lawns for the less experienced players. Well done to those that pegged out or came close in the 80mins.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the afternoon and ensuring it all ran smoothly.

The return visit to Congleton will take place on 20th August.
